Last week’s episode of WWE Smackdown demonstrated an impressive surge in ratings, achieving its highest point in over three years while also increasing its audience. According to reports, the Friday night broadcast secured a 0.69 rating in the 18-49 demographic and drew 2.468 million viewers. This marks a 4% increase from the pre-WrestleMania episode, which had an audience of 2.373 million and a 0.69 demo rating.

Notably, this demo rating is the highest Smackdown has reached since its Christmas 2020 episode, which was bolstered by an NFL game lead-in. Meanwhile, the total audience was the largest since February 10th’s episode, which had the same total audience. The success of the show was reflected in its ranking, with Smackdown topping the night among all broadcast programs according to TV Series Finale.

Looking at the bigger picture, Smackdown has maintained an average demo rating of 0.606 and a viewership of 2.365 million in 2023. This is compared to a demo rating of 0.569 and a viewership of 2.214 million for the same period in 2022. It is clear that WWE Smackdown is making impressive strides in attracting and retaining viewers, and this bodes well for the show’s future success.
