AEW Speculation: Davey Boy Smith Jr.'s Potential Role in Wembley Stadium Show

Since its debut in 2019, AEW has undergone significant changes, including the announcement that the next All In event will take place at London’s Wembley Stadium later this year. According to reports, the pre-sale sign-ups for the event have been extremely promising.

Tony Khan’s announcement on AEW Dynamite this week revealed that the company will take over Wembley Stadium on August 27th for AEW All In London. This is a major move for the company, as the stadium can hold up to 90,000 fans. The last wrestling event held at the venue was WWE SummerSlam in 1992, which had 80,000 attendees.

AEW has already established a significant fanbase in the United Kingdom, having previously held shows there. However, filling out Wembley Stadium will be daunting for the company.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the pre-sale registration for the event generated 25,000 sign-ups in the first day alone. This is a positive sign for AEW, and the company will be hoping to carry this momentum forward as they prepare for the event.

Tickets for the event will go on sale to the public on May 5th, with a pre-sale on May 2nd. The success of the pre-sale will likely give a strong indication of how successful the event will be.

Given the size of the venue, the event is expected to be a pay-per-view. It will take place a week before the traditionally scheduled All Out pay-per-view event on Labor Day Weekend. Wrestling fans will undoubtedly be eagerly anticipating the event, and it will be interesting to see how it turns out for AEW.
