John Cena’s WrestleMania 39 Footwear Pays Tribute

Wrestling superstar John Cena kicked off the action at WrestleMania 39 with a United States Title match against Austin Theory. While Cena, unfortunately, suffered a loss in the bout, one restaurant was delighted to see their gear featured in his attire.

The Kowloon Restaurant took to Twitter to express their gratitude, posting photos of Cena sporting their Nike sneakers during his match. Clearly, the gesture was preserved by the restaurant, which wanted to give a public shoutout to the WWE icon.

Interestingly, Cena has a longstanding friendship with WWE CEO Vince McMahon, who was present at the event to work behind the scenes. Wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that McMahon was highly involved in the event, saying, “For this one, he’s on the headsets, and he’s got the office, and he’s, I mean it’s still Triple H running it, but it is Vince McMahon is very much involved now.”

For the Kowloon Restaurant, however, Cena’s tribute to their footwear was surely the highlight of the night. “Thank you @JohnCena for wearing our Kowloon Nike Sneakers at Wrestlemania 39 in LA!” they wrote on social media.
