Ricky Starks Reveals Disliking His AEW Entrance Music in the Past

AEW has been known for using licensed entrance songs, with wrestlers like Jack Perry using “Tarzan Boy” and The Elite entering the ring to “Carry on Wayward Son.” However, this was not the case for Ricky Starks and his previous theme, “Touch The Sky” by Kanye West. Despite being a significant part of his character on the independent wrestling scene, Starks admitted that he initially “hated the song” when given a new track for AEW.

Speaking on the “Swerve City Podcast,” Starks explained that he had to grow into appreciating his AEW theme, which Mikey Rukus created. However, it has become a signature entrance for the “Absolute” AEW star and is popular with fans. Starks added that the horns and the “Revolution will be televised” still tie in with his personality on and off-screen, making it an ideal fit.

Starks’ character has undergone significant changes since his time on the independent scene, where he had a “stroke daddy inspired” look with a baseball jersey, chain, and bandana. Nonetheless, fashion remains a significant aspect of Starks’ persona, as evidenced by his recent eye-catching looks during his rise up the card in AEW.
