Mandy Rose had an impressive run on the main roster, but her career truly took off during her time in NXT, where she became the longest-reigning NXT Women’s Champion. However, her first singles title win was supposed to happen much earlier than that.

At WrestleMania 35, Becky Lynch, Ronda Rousey, and Charlotte Flair made history by headlining the event for the first time. Flair and Rousey both put their titles on the line, but Lynch walked away with both belts, becoming the first woman to hold both the Raw and SmackDown Women’s Championships at the same time.

Former WWE writer Dave Schilling recently revealed on Twitter that Mandy Rose was supposed to dethrone Charlotte Flair and become the new SmackDown Women’s Champion at WrestleMania 35, but WWE nixed the plan. Schilling’s live tweets while rewatching the event provided some interesting insights for fans.

Despite this missed opportunity, Rose went on to have a successful reign as NXT Women’s Champion until she dropped the title to Roxanne Perez. However, Rose’s time with WWE ended abruptly a few hours later when she was released for posting adult content on her Fantime page.

Fans will undoubtedly be curious to see what Rose’s future holds, but we can only speculate on what could have been if she had won the SmackDown Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 35.
