Big news! Sony has finally added a feature to the PS5 that Xbox Series X had at launch. As you may know, last gen the PS4 and Xbox One had distinct features that set them apart. However, we’re seeing more similarities this year as each console copies the other.
The recent PS5 update includes a new functionality that makes life easier for gamers who own game discs. With the update, if you buy a digital version of a game that you already installed via disc, you don’t need to insert the disc to play it. This applies to games downloaded via PlayStation Plus as well.
While it may seem like a small feature, it’s something that PlayStation fans have been asking for and are happy to have finally. It’s great to see Sony listening to the community and making improvements to the PS5.
