During the June 8th, 2022, episode of Wednesday Night Dynamite, AEW introduced the All-Atlantic Championship. In a recent episode of Dynamite, Tony Khan’s decision to change the name of the championship has left Warner Bros satisfied with their cross-promotion deal with AEW.

To maintain a positive relationship with their network, All Elite Wrestling has taken measures to ensure that Warner Bros remains pleased. As part of this effort, Tony Khan decided to rename the All-Atlantic Title to the AEW International Championship in partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery, coinciding with the release of Shazam! Fury of the Gods.

According to Sean Ross Sapp’s report on Fightful’s paywall, Warner Media was pleased with AEW’s cross-promotion efforts.
During the announcement, Khan also revealed that Orange Cassidy, the current champion, will defend the AEW International Championship against Jeff Jarrett on next week’s Dynamite, which will mark the company’s debut in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
