WWE NXT boasts a talented roster with diverse backgrounds, featuring superstars who have impressed management with their athletic abilities and character work. However, one star has reportedly struggled to find its place on the brand and is set to leave.

After a delayed arrival in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Sarray underwent a gimmick change upon joining WWE NXT but still struggled to gain momentum. Now, Tokyo Sports reports that Sarray will depart the company following the expiration of her contract and return to Japan to resume her in-ring career under her original ring name, Sareee.

Sarray is scheduled to return to the ring on May 16 at the Tokyo/Shinjuku Face Tournament “Sareee-ISM” under her old moniker. A press conference on May 13 will reveal more details about her future in-ring commitments.

Sarray’s last match on WWE NXT was against former NXT Women’s Champion Mandy Rose on August 2, 2022, which she lost.

Sareee will hold a press conference on the 13th to announce the resumption of activities in Japan.
