Liv Morgan is determined to reclaim her position at the top of the SmackDown Women’s Division, even after losing her title to Ronda Rousey last year. Despite facing challenges on the road to WrestleMania, Morgan continues to show up every week and give it her all.
However, plans can always change in the WWE, and Liv Morgan has experienced another creative shift. A report from Sean Sapp behind Fightful’s paywall, Morgan was initially slated to appear in a segment on SmackDown last week that would have set up a match with Rhea Ripley. Unfortunately, the segment was ultimately scrapped.
Morgan and Ripley have a storied history, having been the final two competitors in the 2023 Women’s Royal Rumble match. While it remains to be seen when these two will meet again, their rivalry will surely provide plenty of excitement and drama.
As the road to WrestleMania 39 continues, it’s unclear what Morgan’s next move will be. She has not been booked for a match, while Ripley is set to take on Charlotte Flair for the SmackDown Women’s Title.
