In a surprising turn of events on AEW Dynamite, Orange Cassidy and Danhausen replaced Best Friends in the Casino Tag Team Battle Royale, giving them a chance at the AEW World Tag Team Championship. The match included notable teams like Lucha Brothers, Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta, and Top Flight.
The duo entered as the second-to-last team and emerged victorious by eliminating The Butcher and The Blade. With this win, they have earned a spot in the fatal four-way match for the AEW World Tag Team Championship at the upcoming Revolution pay-per-view event.
The match was initially supposed to feature Best Friends, but they were not medically cleared to compete after an assault by The Gunns and Big Bill on Rampage. The battle royale had its share of surprises, including Castagnoli and Yuta attacking Silver and Reynolds before they entered the ring and the Dark Order being the first team eliminated.
