WWE Elimination Chamber: Edge & Beth Phoenix defeats Judgment Day

0

The match followed the standard mixed-tag rules: men fought men, and women fought women. Beth Phoenix was dressed as Bull Nakano, complete with impressive makeup. At the outset, Edge outsmarted Finn Balor. The battle between Beth and Rhea Ripley showcased their immense strength. During the match, Beth hurled Rhea into the steel steps, but Dominik intervened and caused Beth to stumble on the turnbuckle. Edge chased Dominik up the ramp and quickly returned.

Beth initiated a comeback with a DDT, but just as she was about to make the tag, Finn pulled Edge off the apron and hit a Final Cut on the floor. Beth executed a superplex and eventually reached Edge for the tag. Edge dominated Finn, applying an Edgecator, while Beth locked on a submission of her own on Rhea. Unfortunately, Dominik interfered, handing brass knuckles to Rhea, who proceeded to strike Edge. Finn pinned Edge, and Beth was supposed to break up the count, but her timing was off, resulting in an awkward near fall.

Finn climbed the ropes, but Beth threw Dominik into the ropes, causing Finn to tumble down. Both women then powerbombed their male counterparts. After a double clothesline, everyone was down. Rhea prepared to perform another con-chair-to on Beth, a reference to their match from last year, but Beth escaped and countered with the Glam Slam. Back in the ring, Edge executed Edgecution and took out Dominik with a suicide dive. Finn countered Edge’s Spear with a sling blade, but Edge regained his momentum with another Spear, followed by a Shatter Machine that secured the win for Edge and Beth.
