WWE Suspension Policy Changed Could Be A Sign On Matt Riddle’s Situation

WWE Switching Priorities With Matt Riddle

Several months ago, Matt Riddle was removed from action following a storyline injury from Solo Sikoa, and he has yet to make a return despite the perfect opportunity provided by the recent Royal Rumble event. As we now travel along the road to WrestleMania, there remains no indication of his return.

Taking to Twitter to express gratitude for his support during this time, Riddle also made mention of his recovery and showed off his new grill. This follows the earlier reports of his rehab stint, which have since been confirmed despite WWE’s initial statement to the contrary.

Furthermore, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, how Riddle’s situation has been handled indicates WWE’s altered policy. There was no public disclosure of Riddle’s Wellness Policy failure compared to previous occasions.

Riddle has now been gone more than 60 days, which would be the suspension for a second drug test failure. He wasn’t gone 30 days for the first one, but was gone close to 30 days. His injury angle was 12/5 and they said he’d be gone for six weeks, but we’re not coming up on 11 weeks and on 2/3 he’d have been eligible to return. His name is never mentioned, although when guys are out like that they usually don’t mention them so the return can be a surprise. It does mean the policy has changed because the company didn’t announce the suspension nor did they announce the alleged first one
