Due to TNT’s coverage of the NBA Rising Stars game as part of All-Star weekend, AEW will air Rampage: Slam Dunk this Friday at a special start time of 7:00 p.m. ET. The show, recorded after Dynamite this week, will feature the return of a former champion.
During the latest Rampage taping, Keith Lee returned to the ring. After the main event, the former AEW World Tag Team Champion arrived just in time to save Dustin Rhodes from Swerve Strickland and the Mogul Affiliates.
Keith Lee had been absent from AEW for several months following his betrayal by Swerve Strickland on the November 21, 2022, episode of Wednesday Night Dynamite. During that same segment, Strickland’s new group, Mogul Affiliates, made its debut.
As previously reported, Keith Lee’s absence from AEW television was part of the storyline. The former NXT Champion was taken off the TV to sell the devastating cinderblock injury he sustained during the segment above.
