The sudden twist in events surprised many fans, particularly the severe blow to Gigi Dolin’s face from the kick during that segment.
“She got whacked pretty good on that one, that kick,” Dave Meltzer noted during Wrestling Observer Radio about Gigi Dolin’s injury.
Bryan Alvarez added, “the story is she’s gonna be alright, but they’re gonna keep her off television for a few weeks to sell it, and god knows they should. They should keep her off for a month after that, she was slaughtered.”
