Snoop Dogg announced on December 17th that his gold WWE Championship was lost, and he needed to retrieve it before WrestleMania 39. Guillermo from Jimmy Kimmel Show was seen with the belt; however, it has not yet returned to Snoop Dogg.
WWE released an update on February 5th, showcasing a picture of Pete Davidson holding the title at the 2023 NFL Pro Bowl. Davidson, a renowned comedian, and actor, served as a judge for the competition’s Best Catch event.
The origins of how Davidson obtained the championship and his intentions with it still need to be determined. He has previously had indirect involvement with WWE, appearing in the movie “The Suicide Squad” along with John Cena, where Cena played Peacemaker and Davidson had a brief role as Blackguard.
WWE’s presence at the Pro Bowl was more comprehensive than the Gold Championship. WWE broadcaster Pat McAfee was a commentator alongside Kirk Herbstreit. McAfee returned to WWE at the Royal Rumble after a prolonged absence, leaving in September to join the College GameDay broadcast team.
