Before Apollo Crews was sent back to NXT, Commander Azeez was his trusted ally. Azeez made a surprise return tonight and reunited with Apollo, but the reunion was short-lived.
Tonight during NXT Vengeance Day, Apollo Crews faced Carmelo Hayes in a two-out-of-three falls match. Hayes defeated Crews in the first fall by making him tap out. The two then resumed the match for the second fall.
Commander Azeez made a comeback during the match’s final moments, referred to as Dabba Kato by Vic Joseph. He overpowered Trick Williams but couldn’t stop Carmelo Hayes from securing the winning fall.
