Dakota Kai became known for her achievements in Triple H’s iteration of NXT, where she repeatedly won the women’s tag team championships. However, her contract was terminated on April 29, 2022. Nevertheless, Triple H’s creative control over WWE resulted in Dakota Kai’s return, as she appeared at the 2022 SummerSlam premium live event.
As reported earlier, Dakota Kai sustained an injury during the Women’s Royal Rumble match last Saturday. Despite the injury, WWE did not reveal any information about it during their Monday Night RAW broadcast. Nevertheless, we have obtained further updates on Dakota Kai’s undisclosed injury.
As per Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer and Figure Four Weekly, it is believed that Dakota Kai’s injury is not severe. During the rumble match, Dakota Kai entered as the ninth participant, eliminating five competitors and lasting for 22 minutes and 20 seconds. Eventually, she was eliminated by Becky Lynch, who was then eliminated by Bayley.
Monday on RAW, half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions were involved in a storyline with Becky Lynch. “The Man” used Dakota Kai to persuade Bayley to accept a steel cage match for next Monday.
