Actor Annie Wersching, famous for her role as FBI agent Renee Walker in the show 24, passed away at 45.
Wersching passed away Sunday morning in Los Angeles after a struggle with cancer.
Stephen Full, her spouse and father of three sons, confirmed her death in a statement released to US media.
“There is a cavernous hole in the soul of this family today. But she left us the tools to fill it. She found wonder in the simplest moment. She didn’t require music to dance. She taught us not to wait for adventure to find you. ‘Go find it. It’s everywhere.’ And find it we shall.”
Wersching was also the voice actor for Tess in the video game The Last Of Us.
Neil Druckmann, the creator, expressed his thoughts on Twitter “We just lost a beautiful artist and human being. My heart is shattered. Thoughts are with her loved ones.”
Actor Abigail Spencer, who co-starred with Wersching on the sci-fi show Timeless, tweeted, “Annie Wersching, we love you. You will be greatly missed.”
Wersching, a St Louis, Missouri native, had a 20-year acting career, appearing in numerous television shows.
Wersching’s first acting credit was in Star Trek: Enterprise. She had recurring roles in 24 (seasons 7 and 8), Bosch, The Vampire Diaries, Marvel’s Runaways, The Rookie, and recently, the Borg Queen in the second season of Star Trek: Picard.
