It is believed to be an ankle injury, and Styles is expected to have it examined as soon as possible. According to reports, Styles was having difficulty putting weight on his left foot after the match and required assistance from WWE officials to walk to the back. Footage from fans at the event shows the referee signaling an “X” – a universal symbol for a legitimate injury in wrestling.
Styles was participating in a six-man match that included The O.C. (Styles, Karl Anderson, and Luke Gallows) against The Judgment Day (Finn Balor, Damian Priest, and Dominik Mysterio). The match was stopped due to Styles’ injury. Recently, Styles has been involved in a feud with Balor and The Judgment Day, with the conflict stemming from Styles’ refusal to join forces with his former friend Balor.
