Actor Kiefer Sutherland has sold his five-bedroom home in the celebrity-studded Toluca Lake section of Los Angeles for $8 million, sources close to the sale have confirmed.
Best known for his role as Jack Bauer on the long-running drama series “24,” Mr. Sutherland, 55, netted a tidy profit on the deal, having purchased the property for $3.348 million in 2012, records show. Sitting on a little over half an acre, the five-bedroom home was built in 1935, and features a large outdoor pool and spa area, as well as a three-car garage, according to listing details on Realtor.com.
The off-market sale closed on Aug. 5, according to records, and was handled by Coldwell Banker agent Kelly Sutherland, who did not immediately respond to a request for comment. (Ms. Sutherland was formerly married to Mr. Sutherland from 1996 through 2008.) The buyer, who could not be identified, was represented by Craig Knizek and Kevin Dees of The Agency, who declined to comment for this story.
The home was owned by Mr. Sutherland through a trust tied to a business manager, according to records on PropertyShark.
