Summary

– Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority to pay WWE $6 million for WrestleMania 42

– WrestleMania 42 set for April 18–19, 2026 at Allegiant Stadium

– WWE’s 2025 event generated over 140,000 hotel room nights and major tourism revenue

WWE is returning to Las Vegas for WrestleMania 42, and the city is paying top dollar to make it happen. According to a report from LV Sports Biz, the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) is preparing a $6 million incentive for WWE to host the event at Allegiant Stadium in April 2026.

The LVCVA board is expected to officially approve the payout during its next meeting on November 12. Funded through hotel room taxes, the agency frequently invests in major sporting and entertainment events that boost local tourism. WrestleMania 42 will mark the first time any city has hosted consecutive WrestleManias since 1989.

In 2025, WrestleMania 41 drew more than 124,000 fans to Allegiant Stadium and generated over 140,000 additional hotel room nights, making it one of Las Vegas’ most successful tourism weekends of the year. That track record has convinced the LVCVA to double down for 2026.

The upcoming WrestleMania weekend will again feature two nights of action on April 18 and 19, with WWE Raw, SmackDown, NXT Stand & Deliver, WWE World, and the Hall of Fame ceremony all taking over the Strip. Community outreach events are also scheduled throughout Southern Nevada.

LVCVA CEO Steve Hill praised WWE’s continued partnership, emphasizing the event’s international reach and economic impact. “WWE will bring Raw, SmackDown, NXT Stand & Deliver, WWE World, and the 2026 WWE Hall of Fame ceremony to Las Vegas, as well as a variety of community outreach events designed to give back to Southern Nevada,” Hill said.

While fans continue to voice frustration over rising ticket and hotel costs, the record-setting tourism boost makes WrestleMania a guaranteed win for Las Vegas. Hosting back-to-back editions of WWE’s biggest show cements the city’s place as the company’s ultimate entertainment hub.
