Company prioritizes roster’s holiday schedules ahead of the San Diego event
Summary
– WWE will not hold a Survivor Series 2025 media junket
– Thanksgiving travel demands influenced the decision
– SmackDown was taped early to give talent more holiday flexibility
WWE fans hoping for the usual lineup of press appearances and interview sessions before Survivor Series 2025 won’t see one this year. According to Fightful Select, the company is once again skipping a traditional media junket for the Premium Live Event, continuing a trend that has developed around the holiday season.
Sources stated that WWE avoids scheduling Survivor Series junkets because it would require talent to travel on Thanksgiving. With wrestlers already navigating demanding schedules, the company opted to give the roster additional time with family instead of pushing media obligations into the holiday.
To accommodate that change, WWE taped Friday Night SmackDown in advance, allowing more space between holiday travel and the November 29 event at Petco Park in San Diego. The move ensured that wrestlers could enjoy Thanksgiving before heading to the West Coast for one of the year’s biggest shows.
Despite the absence of Media Week, Survivor Series 2025 remains a major attention-getter. WarGames returns, top names are featured across both matches, and the event reached a sellout pace quickly. WWE clearly maintains strong momentum despite not having the traditional pre-show promotion.
