WWE Reviewing Saudi Arabia Event Plans Amid Regional Tensions

Internal talks continue but no shows have been canceled

Summary

– WWE officials are internally discussing the status of upcoming Saudi Arabia events

– No cancellations or schedule changes have been announced

– WrestleMania 43 is still planned for Riyadh in 2027 under the existing partnership

WWE officials are reportedly reviewing the situation surrounding the company’s scheduled events in Saudi Arabia amid ongoing tensions across the Middle East. The discussions are said to be internal and precautionary rather than a sign of any immediate changes.

Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer reported that company leadership has recently discussed the status of the remaining premium live events scheduled for Saudi Arabia in 2026. Conversations have also included the long-term plan for WrestleMania 43, which is currently scheduled to take place in Riyadh during 2027.

The discussions are described as internal evaluations rather than confirmed adjustments to the schedule. No events have been canceled, and WWE has not announced any official changes regarding its shows in the region.

WWE already held its first Saudi Arabia event of the year earlier in 2026 when the Royal Rumble took place in Riyadh on January 31. That event marked the first of three premium live events scheduled for the country this year, with two more shows currently planned for May and November.

Plans also extend further into the future. WrestleMania 43 is expected to take place in Riyadh in 2027 if current plans move forward. The event would represent the first time WrestleMania is held outside North America.

The partnership between WWE and Saudi Arabia has been one of the company’s most profitable international agreements. The deal with the Saudi General Entertainment Authority reportedly generates about fifty-five million dollars per event, with some major shows valued even higher.

The agreement began in 2018 and runs through at least 2027. Since the partnership began, WWE has staged 14 events in Saudi Arabia, including the Royal Rumble earlier this year.

Two more premium live events are currently scheduled for the country during 2026. Whether the internal discussions lead to any changes remains unclear, but WWE’s current schedule still lists the shows as planned.
