WWE Moves WrestleMania 42 to Earlier Start Time in Las Vegas

Two-night event now listed with 2:30 PM local start at Allegiant Stadium

Summary

– WrestleMania 42 now scheduled for 2:30 PM local time both nights

– Event returns to Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas

– Earlier start could allow expanded match card and longer presentations

WWE has adjusted the official start time for WrestleMania 42, shifting the two-night spectacle to an earlier slot in Las Vegas. The event is now listed as beginning at 2:30 PM local time on Saturday, April 18, and Sunday, April 19, 2026, at Allegiant Stadium.

This marks a noticeable change from WrestleMania’s usual late-afternoon or early-evening local start. WWE has not clarified whether the 2:30 PM listing refers to the Kickoff show or the main card itself. Based on prior formats, the earlier time likely reflects the start of pre-show coverage, with the main card following later.

An earlier window could give WWE more flexibility in structuring each night. Since moving to a two-night format in 2020, WrestleMania has typically featured around seven matches per evening. Additional time may allow for expanded match cards, longer entrances, and more elaborate storytelling without pushing the broadcast too late.

WrestleMania 42 will once again be held at Allegiant Stadium, marking the second consecutive year the Las Vegas venue hosts the company’s flagship event. The return followed the strong financial performance of WrestleMania 41, which led WWE to relocate the 2026 edition from its planned initial stop in New Orleans.

Several marquee bouts are already set. Roman Reigns will challenge CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship after winning the 2026 Royal Rumble. Liv Morgan is scheduled to defend the Women’s World Championship against Stephanie Vaquer. Drew McIntyre and Jade Cargill are also slated to defend their titles, with challengers to be determined at Elimination Chamber.

The revised start time signals a significant scheduling adjustment that could shape the flow and pacing of both WrestleMania nights.
