Update boosts XP rewards while adding match length requirement

2K has released Patch 1.04 for WWE 2K26 as the game prepares for its full launch later this week.
The update arrives during the early access period available to players who purchased special editions of the game. Several gameplay tweaks and technical fixes were included, with the biggest adjustments focusing on the Ringside Pass progression system.
Developers confirmed that custom matches will now award Ringside XP. The rate at which players earn the XP has also been increased by roughly twenty percent to help players progress through the system more efficiently.
Completion rewards have been raised from 25 XP to 30 XP, while the match victory bonus has increased from 85 XP to 105 XP. The changes are designed to speed up progression toward unlocking new characters through the Ringside Pass.
A new minimum match time requirement has also been added. Matches completed in under sixty seconds will still grant completion XP, but players will not receive the additional win bonus. The adjustment aims to prevent extremely short matches from being used to farm XP rapidly.
Patch 1.04 also delivers several general improvements across the game. Developers addressed stability and performance concerns, as well as issues with earnable Ringside XP and account linking for 2K services.
Additional fixes targeted issues with Game Pass requirements when accessing The Island and MyFaction modes. The update also resolves reported issues involving Dominik’s unlockable mask and certain attacks that were not functioning correctly.
Performance improvements were also applied to The Island mode to help address gameplay stability during matches.
