Tommaso Ciampa Officially Moved To WWE Alumni Section

Roster update confirms Ciampa’s exit as he launches next chapter

Summary

– WWE moved Tommaso Ciampa to the Alumni section on January 27

– Ciampa has already begun rebranding with new merchandise and trademarks

– The move confirms his WWE run has officially ended

The company has formally acknowledged Tommaso Ciampa’s departure from WWE.

On January 27, 2026, WWE updated its official roster page, moving Ciampa to the Alumni section. While Ciampa had already announced earlier this month that he was leaving the company, the change on WWE.com serves as the clearest confirmation that his run is officially over.

The roster update came shortly after Ciampa began rolling out his post WWE identity. He launched a new wave of merchandise through Pro Wrestling Tees, releasing several shirt designs and a hoodie built around the “Psycho Killer” and “Psycho Kid” branding.

That branding effort is part of a larger plan. On January 21, Ciampa filed trademarks for the names “Psycho Killer” and “Psycho King,” signaling that the concepts will play a central role in his future both inside and outside the ring.

The “Psycho Killer” nickname has long been associated with Ciampa, dating back to his independent wrestling career. The timing of the trademark filings, merchandise release, and WWE roster update suggests a coordinated exit rather than a sudden departure.

When announcing his WWE departure, Ciampa thanked the company and made it clear that retirement is not on the table. The 40-year-old stated that he believes he has at least another decade left as an active performer and opened himself up for bookings, signings, seminars, and media appearances.

Speculation about Ciampa’s next destination has already begun. In the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer noted that New Japan Pro Wrestling has been discussed as a potential fit, while also acknowledging that Ciampa’s style aligns well with AEW despite the company’s crowded roster.

With his WWE chapter now officially closed, Ciampa appears focused on a full career reset. Where he lands next remains to be seen, but the early moves indicate he is positioning himself aggressively for the next phase of his career.
