TNA’s Potential TV Deal Points Toward AMC As New Network Interest Grows

AMC emerges as a strong contender for TNA’s next major media move

Summary

– AMC surfaces as a possible home for TNA’s new media rights deal

– Networks linked to WWE create obstacles for A&E and The CW

– A new deal could shift TNA’s time slot heading into 2025

TNA Wrestling is closing in on a major media rights agreement worth an estimated ten million dollars as the company prepares to expand its reach in 2025. A report from The Takedown on SI indicates that AMC has become a legitimate contender for the weekly show. The network is not affiliated with WWE, which makes it a clean option for negotiations.

AMC is best known for its scripted hits, including Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead, and Mad Men. The network has never hosted professional wrestling. The report suggests that the partnership would place TNA in front of a larger audience and provide a new path for televised growth.

Rumors in 2014 linked AMC to a potential WWE purchase, but that discussion quickly faded. The interest in TNA is described as serious, and the promotion is aiming to secure a deal that elevates its presence at the start of the new year.

Dave Meltzer previously listed A&E and The CW as potential partners for TNA. Both networks hold established relationships with WWE, and those ties would require WWE involvement in any agreement. That detail complicates the possibility of TNA landing on either channel.

TNA may also move to a new time slot under the upcoming deal. Wednesday night was mentioned as a possible target for a move that would place the show opposite AEW Dynamite. Meltzer noted that A&E could force a Sunday shift to support WWE’s reality series LFG as a later lead-in.

A partnership with AMC would alter the wrestling television scene as the calendar turns to 2025. TNA appears poised to make a significant leap, regardless of which network finalizes the agreement, and the next move could significantly enhance its visibility for years to come.
