Fans of The Walking Dead will recognize a familiar face heading into new territory. Michael Cudlitz, best known for portraying Sgt. Abraham Ford on The Walking Dead has joined the cast of the Yellowstone spinoff, Marshals.
Cudlitz will play Randall Clegg, the hardened leader of a powerful Montana ranch family. His character is positioned as a direct adversary to Kayce Dutton, played by Luke Grimes. Early previews show Clegg challenging the Dutton legacy and questioning Kayce’s authority as a U.S. Marshal.
Marshals follows Kayce after the fallout from Yellowstone, shifting the focus to his military background and federal law enforcement role. The dynamic between Kayce and Clegg appears set to drive much of the series’ tension.
Cudlitz’s time on The Walking Dead left a lasting impression with fans, as Abraham Ford became one of the show’s most memorable personalities. Since departing the series, he has continued building a strong résumé across television, and this new role adds another intense character to his lineup.
The series premieres March 1 on CBS and will also stream on Paramount+. Cudlitz is expected to appear in multiple episodes beginning March 15.
