Netflix is diving deep into psychological suspense with His & Hers, a new limited thriller series starring Jon Bernthal. The Walking Dead alum, remembered for his intense performance as Shane, returns to television in a role that swaps post-apocalyptic chaos for a chilling small-town murder mystery.

Based on Alice Feeney’s 2020 novel, His & Hers follows Anna, a former news anchor played by Tessa Thompson, who isolates herself after personal and professional setbacks. Her quiet life unravels when a murder in her Georgia hometown pulls her back into the spotlight. Detective Jack Harper, played by Bernthal, soon finds her involvement too coincidental, setting up a gripping dynamic between the two leads. Pablo Schreiber joins the cast as Richard, adding further intrigue to the mystery.

The six-part series is described as self-contained, allowing viewers to binge it in one sitting. Fifth Season produces the show, with Dee Johnson as showrunner and executive producer. Jessica Chastain, Kristen Campo, and Kelly Carmichael also serve as executive producers alongside Thompson and Bernthal. William Oldroyd, known for his work on Lady Macbeth, directs the first episode.

His & Hers promises a tense mix of suspense and character-driven drama. With its Southern Gothic setting, emotional complexity, and powerhouse performances, the series could become Netflix’s next breakout hit when it arrives next year.
