Steve Austin Confirms No Appearance for 3:16 Day RAW

WWE Hall of Famer focused on racing instead of returning to San Antonio show

Summary

– Steve Austin confirmed he will not appear at the March 16 WWE RAW in San Antonio

– The show falls on the symbolic 3:16 Day associated with Austin’s legacy

– Austin said he will be preparing for an upcoming off road race in Nevada

Steve Austin has put an end to speculation about a possible WWE appearance during the March 16 episode of Monday Night RAW in San Antonio. The date, often celebrated by fans as 3:16 Day, led many to believe the Texas Rattlesnake might show up for the special event.

Austin addressed the rumors during an interview with TakeDown on SI. When asked if fans should expect him to appear at the show in his home state, the WWE Hall of Famer confirmed he will not be there.

Austin encouraged fans to tune in to the show but explained that his focus is currently on his racing career. He said he is preparing for a demanding off road race and spending his time getting his vehicle ready.

According to Austin, he will be working in a garage in Nevada while preparing a side-by-side off-road buggy for a two-hundred-fifty-mile race. He said the preparation has required intense effort as he and his team get the vehicle ready for the event.

The update dispels the idea that Austin could appear on RAW on the symbolic date. The speculation gained traction because the show takes place in San Antonio, the WWE legend’s home state.

Earlier reports indicated that some people within WWE were hopeful he might appear for the show. It would have been his first Monday Night RAW appearance in several years.

Austin has remained selective about his involvement with WWE in recent years. His last major in-ring appearance took place at WrestleMania 38 in 2022 when he defeated Kevin Owens in a highly publicized return match.

Although the timing of RAW in Texas on 3:16 Day seemed ideal for a comeback moment, Austin’s comments make it clear he will be focused on racing instead of stepping into a WWE ring.
