Concern grows following Vaquer’s slip during post-match segment
Summary
– Stephanie Vaquer may have injured her knee during WWE RAW
– Incident occurred after her match with Roxanne Perez in Sacramento
– WWE has yet to issue an official update on her condition
Stephanie Vaquer’s victory on WWE RAW may have come at a cost. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, Vaquer possibly sustained a knee injury during her match against Roxanne Perez at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento. The injury scare occurred moments after the bout ended. Vaquer attempted a springboard maneuver during a post-match brawl involving Raquel Rodriguez and Perez, but slipped on the ropes and immediately clutched her knee.
Bryan Alvarez described the situation during his match review, noting that Vaquer appeared to have “a rough night.” Dave Meltzer added, “And she may have hurt her knee,” as both analysts confirmed that Vaquer showed a visible limp after the slip.
Alvarez provided additional context, saying, “They do the match, Roxanne takes the Angel’s Wings and Lung Blower for the pin, and then Raquel and Roxanne attack them. Nikki Bella’s music hits, and Stephanie goes for a springboard and slips. She grabbed her knee and was limping afterward.”
Meltzer confirmed that the limp was noticeable as Vaquer made her way backstage. Alvarez later pointed out that Vaquer appeared to be walking fine in a backstage promo segment, though it remains unclear whether that footage was recorded before or after the match. He added, “Hopefully it’s nothing serious, but the way she landed wasn’t good.”
Neither WWE nor Vaquer’s representatives have released a statement regarding her condition. With Vaquer now featured prominently alongside Nikki Bella on television, any injury could affect ongoing storylines and her momentum on RAW.
