Injury recovery leaves major questions heading into April

Summary

– Seth Rollins says his WrestleMania 42 status remains uncertain

– The former champion is recovering from a torn rotator cuff suffered in October 2025

– Rollins admits the final decision on his return will not be his to make

Seth Rollins has acknowledged that his return for WrestleMania 42 is far from guaranteed. Speaking openly about his recovery, Rollins admitted that he does not yet have a clear answer on whether he will be cleared in time for WWE’s biggest event of the year.

Rollins has been sidelined since WWE Crown Jewel in October 2025 after suffering a torn rotator cuff. The injury not only forced him out of action but also led to him being stripped of the World Heavyweight Championship after The Vision betrayed him on RAW.

Discussing the typical recovery timeline, Rollins explained that shoulder surgery and rehabilitation usually take between four and six months. He noted that his focus has been on daily rehab and avoiding setbacks, with the hope of being medically cleared by April when WrestleMania takes place.

Even if he reaches that point physically, Rollins emphasized that returning to the ring is not solely his decision. He stated that all he can do is prepare as best he can and wait for clearance from those in charge.

Rollins also addressed the skepticism that often surrounds his injuries. Over the years, fans and critics have questioned whether some of his absences were legitimate or part of the storyline. Acknowledging that reputation, Rollins responded with sarcasm, admitting that his credibility on injuries may be damaged but adding that it does not concern him.

With WrestleMania 42 approaching, Rollins’ status remains one of the biggest unknowns. Whether he competes or not, his eventual return is expected to play a significant role in WWE’s plans following the dramatic betrayal that sidelined him.
