New photos show rapid construction progress ahead of January 31 show
Summary
– New photos reveal major progress on WWE’s custom Royal Rumble stadium
– Lighting towers and main entrance areas are now in place
– Venue is being built from scratch for WWE’s first international Royal Rumble
Construction on WWE’s Royal Rumble stadium in Saudi Arabia is moving at a rapid pace as the company prepares for the January 31, 2026, premium live event. Fresh photos shared on January 18 offered the clearest look yet at how quickly the venue is coming together.
Social media user Mohammed Mansour posted images showing visible upgrades at the site in the King Abdullah Financial District. Lighting towers have been installed, and a large main entrance area is now clearly defined, signaling a significant step forward in the build.
According to the update, the stadium’s primary entrance will be via the Al Ghadeer Walkway. An increased security presence around the site was also noted, suggesting that preparations are entering a more advanced phase.
The scale of the construction has caught the attention of fans, as the developing setup resembles a WrestleMania-level stage rather than a typical temporary venue. WWE is aiming for a visually massive presentation to match the event’s significance.
Earlier reports confirmed that WWE made the unprecedented decision to build an entirely new stadium specifically for the Royal Rumble. When tickets went on sale, the venue itself had not yet existed, making the project a first in the company’s history.
Despite that uncertainty, fan interest surged. Internal projections indicated that presale demand broke records, making the 2026 Royal Rumble the most in-demand wrestling event WWE has ever tracked.
With less than two weeks remaining, attention remains fixed on the construction site. WWE is attempting to complete a custom-built stadium in record time while setting the stage for the official start of the Road to WrestleMania 42.
