The Mysterio family drama is far from over. During the November 3 episode of WWE RAW at the Rio Rancho Events Center in New Mexico, Rey Mysterio made his long-awaited return to confront his son, Dominik Mysterio, reigniting one of WWE’s most emotional rivalries.

Dominik, carrying both the Intercontinental and AAA Mega Championships, arrived mid-show to boast about his dominance and claim the title of “King of the Luchadors.” But before he could finish, Rey’s music hit, and the crowd erupted as the Hall of Famer made his way to the ring for the first time since before WrestleMania 41.

Rey, now medically cleared for action, wasted no time setting the record straight. He told his son that while he respects his accomplishments, calling himself the greatest luchador crosses the line. Rey invoked the names of El Santo, Blue Demon, and Eddie Guerrero as true icons of lucha libre, telling Dominik he’s not on their level.

Dominik fired back, telling his father to “keep Eddie’s name out of your mouth,” before claiming he’s better than them all—including Rey. He accused his father of stealing his style, saying, “I made the Mysterio name relevant,” and demanded Rey leave his ring.

Rey agreed to leave, but not before delivering one final warning: Dominik will never be King of the Luchadors, it will never be his ring, and he will never surpass his father’s legacy. When Dominik tried to attack from behind, Rey countered with a crisp 6-1-9 that sent Dirty Dom scrambling out of the ring.

The crowd roared as Rey stood tall, making it clear that the family feud had only just begun. With Rey back in action, the Mysterio legacy is once again up for battle.
