Major Redevelopment Planned for WWE’s Former Titan Towers in Stamford

Historic WWE headquarters site to be converted into luxury apartments

Summary

– Developers plan to turn WWE’s former Titan Towers into 84 upscale apartments
– The $3.75 million property will include amenities like a pool, gym, and rooftop deck
– Project aims to add housing while preserving the building’s signature exterior

The former home of WWE’s global operations, Titan Towers, is set for a major transformation. New plans submitted to Stamford’s Land Use Bureau outline a complete redevelopment of the 1241 E. Main Street property into a modern 84-unit apartment complex.

The project comes from MB Financial Group, which purchased the iconic four-story building earlier this year for $3.75 million. The redesign will retain the structure’s recognizable curtain glass wall while introducing a limestone and aluminum exterior for a modern look.

Attorney Lisa Feinberg, representing the developers, emphasized that the conversion aligns with the city’s goal to repurpose outdated office buildings into residential spaces. Inside, residents will have access to high-end amenities including a game room, fitness center, co-working area, swimming pool, terrace, and rooftop deck.

Developers also plan to significantly scale back the parking area, reducing the number of spaces from 318 to 115, to create more landscaping and open space. Six units are planned as affordable housing, though the developers could opt to contribute to Stamford’s housing fund instead.

MB Financial CEO Michael Massimino described the building’s location as a major draw, highlighting its scenic views of Long Island Sound. The redevelopment marks the end of an era for the structure that once served as WWE’s corporate epicenter under Vince McMahon, closing the door on its wrestling past as it enters a new chapter in Stamford’s skyline.
