Liv Morgan Confirms September Film Release Amid Rising Momentum

WWE star balances title chase with Hollywood debut later this year

Summary

– Liv Morgan confirmed Bad Lieutenant Tokyo will release in September

– She earned a Women’s World Title match at WrestleMania 42 next month

– Morgan continues gaining momentum with success in and out of WWE

Liv Morgan is heading into one of the most important stretches of her career with a major WWE title opportunity next month and a film release scheduled later this year.

Morgan revealed during an appearance on Director’s Cut Radio that Bad Lieutenant Tokyo, which she filmed in Japan, is set to arrive in theaters in September. The project marks her first major step into acting and offers a new direction outside the ring.

She described the experience as a valuable learning opportunity and noted that working alongside experienced actors helped her grow. Morgan also expressed confidence that fans will see a different side of her when the film is released.

While the movie is still months away, her immediate focus remains on WWE competition. Morgan secured a championship opportunity by winning the Women’s Royal Rumble earlier this year.

After taking time to consider her options, she chose to challenge Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer. Their rivalry has been built around contrasting journeys, with Morgan rising through WWE and Vaquer earning recognition across multiple promotions.

The road to the title match has also included tension within Judgment Day. The group recently removed Finn Balor following a backstage conflict tied to Dominik Mysterio’s Intercontinental Championship loss.

Morgan’s side remains active heading into the event, though not without resistance. Raquel Rodriguez recently faced Vaquer in an attempt to gain momentum for Morgan, but Vaquer secured the win.

The championship opportunity is scheduled for next month, while her film project remains set for release later in September.
