Los Angeles County prosecutors are currently reviewing a case involving actor Kiefer Sutherland following an alleged assault against a ride-share driver earlier this month.

The District Attorney’s Office confirmed that investigators have submitted the case for consideration, though no decision has been announced on whether formal charges will be filed. The review process remains ongoing, with no clear timetable for a final determination.

Law enforcement officials say the incident occurred near Sunset Boulevard and Fairfax Avenue after Sutherland entered a ride-share vehicle. Officers responding to the call arrested the actor, who was accused of assaulting the driver during the encounter.

Police noted that the driver did not require medical attention following the incident. Sutherland was taken into custody on suspicion of felony criminal threats and was later released after posting a $50,000 bond.

Court records show that Sutherland is expected to make an initial appearance on February 2 as the legal process moves forward. Representatives for the actor have not issued a public response at this time.

Sutherland is widely recognized for his television and film career, most notably for his role as Jack Bauer on the series 24, as well as for appearances in several major Hollywood films over the years.
