Kiefer Sutherland has been photographed in public for the first time since his arrest in an alleged incident involving an Uber driver, and the scene raised immediate questions.

Photos captured Thursday show Sutherland at Los Angeles International Airport moving through an Uber pickup area while carrying luggage and what appeared to be a guitar. He was seen handing his bags to another man before entering the back seat of a black SUV marked for rideshare pickup.

The appearance comes weeks after Sutherland was arrested following an alleged confrontation with an Uber driver. According to law enforcement, the driver told police that Sutherland threatened to kill him if he did not pull the vehicle over and later became physical during the ride.

Police responded to the scene and arrested Sutherland on a felony charge of making a criminal threat. He was later released after posting $50,000 bail.

Since then, the Los Angeles County District Attorney has sent the case back to the police for further investigation. No final charging decision has been announced.

Uber has not publicly commented on how Sutherland was able to continue using the service following the arrest. Requests for comment have so far gone unanswered.
