Kiefer Sutherland and Rebel Wilson are teaming up for a heartwarming holiday comedy just in time for the festive season. Brainstorm Media has announced that Tinsel Town will arrive in theaters and on VOD on November 28, marking the latest directorial project from Chris Foggin, known for Bank of Dave.
The film stars Sutherland as Bradley Mack, a washed-up Hollywood action hero traveling to a small English village to participate in a quirky community Christmas pageant. There, he meets the show’s no-nonsense choreographer, played by Wilson, and begins to rebuild his life while reconnecting with his estranged daughter.
The cast includes Derek Jacobi, Mawaan Rizwan, Maria Friedman, Jason Manford, Asim Chaudhry, Danny Dyer, Ray Fearon, and Lucien Laviscount. The script comes from Frazer Flintham, Adam Brown, Piers Ashworth, and Jake Brunger, with Matt Williams and Pascal Degove producing.
Wilson celebrated the film’s wrap earlier this year, sharing behind-the-scenes Polaroids on Instagram and calling the shoot “a brilliant experience” while joking about enduring “free cryotherapy” in the chilly English countryside.
Tinsel Town continues a busy year for both stars. Sutherland recently appeared in Juror #2 and Netflix’s They Cloned Tyrone, while Wilson wrapped her directorial debut, The Deb, and the action-comedy Bride Hard.
With its mix of humor, heart, and holiday charm, Tinsel Town looks set to bring audiences a dose of festive cheer this November.
