The actor, known for portraying Negan, responded on X to a fan who urged him to bring the character into the popular multiplayer horror game. While he did not confirm any official plans, Morgan suggested he typically does not turn down opportunities if the broader cast is involved.
Dead by Daylight has already featured several Walking Dead characters. Rick Grimes and Michonne were introduced as playable Survivors, while Daryl Dixon appeared as a Legendary Outfit. Maggie Rhee was later added as an additional Legendary Outfit for Michonne. Some actors provided original voice work, further strengthening the crossover.
With those additions already in place, fans have long speculated that Negan could be next. Morgan’s public openness to the idea has only intensified that discussion. The official Dead by Daylight account even replied playfully, adding more fuel to the speculation.
The debate now centers on how Negan would be implemented. Some believe he would make a natural Killer given his brutal reputation. Others argue he fits better as a Survivor. Dead by Daylight director Mathieu Cote previously indicated that a character like Negan might align more with the Survivor role within the game’s structure.
Nothing has been confirmed by either Morgan or the game’s developers. Even so, the possibility alone has energized the fandom. For many viewers, the idea of hearing Negan’s voice inside The Fog while Morgan continues his work in the franchise represents a crossover worth watching.
