Jacy Jayne walked out of The Theater at Madison Square Garden with the NXT Women’s Championship after a chaotic and emotional main event that ended with Izzi Dame blindsiding her own partner, Tatum Paxley. The title bout closed out the November 18 Gold Rush event, delivering a big-match atmosphere and an even bigger swerve.
Tatum Paxley started strong and controlled much of the early action until interference from Fatal Influence slowed her momentum. Paxley answered back with a diving splash on both members of the group, sending the crowd into a frenzy.
As the match continued past the commercial break, Paxley regained control with heavy offense, including a modified Harlem Hangover that earned a near-fall and caught the attention of the commentators. She then hit a double suplex sequence off the top rope, further pushing Jayne to the brink.
Momentum shifted again when Izzi Dame slid a steel chair into the ring. Paxley tossed it aside, but the distraction allowed Jayne to steal the win nearly. Moments later, chaos at ringside escalated when Dame took out Lainey Reid and became directly involved in the finish.
Paxley attempted to climb back into the ring after being knocked to the floor, but The Culling unintentionally stopped her. That hesitation proved costly as Izzi Dame blasted Paxley with a big boot. Dame rolled Paxley back inside, where Jayne immediately hit her Rolling Encore finisher to secure the championship.
