Dominik Mysterio Injured During AAA Guerra de Titanes Main Event

Shoulder injury raises concern ahead of WWE’s busy season

Summary

– Dominik Mysterio reportedly suffered a legitimate shoulder injury in the main event

– Injury occurred after taking a DDT from Rey Mysterio late in the match

– Severity remains unclear pending medical evaluation

Dominik Mysterio may be facing time away from the ring following an apparent shoulder injury suffered during the main event of AAA Guerra de Titanes in Guadalajara, Mexico. The match featured Dominik teaming with El Grande Americano against Rey Fenix and his father, Rey Mysterio.

The injury occurred in the closing moments of the bout when Dominik took a DDT from Rey Mysterio. The landing appeared awkward, and concern became immediate as Dominik struggled to move his arm while exiting the ring.

Bryan Alvarez reported that the injury is believed to be legitimate and may involve a shoulder separation. Depending on the severity, recovery can range from a brief absence to a potentially surgical situation.

Despite the injury, the match continued to its planned conclusion. Penta interfered by preventing El Grande Americano from using a foreign object, then used a hidden item inside his mask to headbutt Dominik.

That interference allowed Rey Mysterio to connect with the 619 and secure the pinfall victory. Following the bell, Dominik pushed Americano away and walked to the back alone while holding his injured shoulder.

The situation arises at a particularly challenging time, with the Royal Rumble scheduled for January 31, 2026. If surgery becomes necessary, Dominik could miss a critical stretch of WWE programming during one of the company’s busiest periods.
