Damian Priest revealed that WWE officials recently intervened to alter his schedule due to mounting injuries. The former World Heavyweight Champion spoke candidly on the Delivering Happiness podcast about the physical toll the last few years have taken on his body. He admitted that while he never asked for time off, the company made the executive decision to protect his longevity.

Priest disclosed that he has been working through significant issues, including torn shoulders and bad knees. The company decided to give him a break this year after seeing how hard he had been working since joining the main roster. He noted that he is no longer performing five days in a row, as he used to, but remains a fixture on weekly television.

The conversation shifted to his upcoming schedule and the return of the Terror Twins. The duo will team up in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, to settle the score against Black and his wife.
