Curse gimmick takes a comedic turn on social media
Summary
– Danhausen joked about “uncursing” multiple WWE stars for April Fools
– Targets included Dominik Mysterio, The Miz, and others
– Each post revealed the same punchline, keeping his gimmick alive
Danhausen leaned fully into his character on April Fools Day, delivering a social media stunt that played off his long-running curse gimmick.
Since arriving in WWE, Danhausen has built a reputation for “cursing” various stars, turning it into a recurring joke that has followed several names across the roster and beyond.
On April 1, he flipped the idea by claiming those same individuals were finally free from his curse. He posted messages directed at several of his past targets, creating the illusion that the gimmick was coming to an end.
The first message was aimed at IShowSpeed, setting the tone for the prank. He followed that with posts directed at The Miz, Kit Wilson, and Dominik Mysterio, repeating the same format each time.
The joke continued with Grayson Waller, while also referencing Kofi Kingston as part of the bit. Every post carried the same structure, ending with the reveal that it was all part of an April Fool’s prank.
The sequence allowed Danhausen to revisit each of his previous “victims” while reinforcing his comedic nature.
Although nothing actually changed, the prank served as another example of how he continues to use humor and consistency to keep his gimmick active.
