According to the latest report from Wrestlenomics, AEW Dynamite’s Wednesday night TV numbers were down from last week’s gains in viewership and key demo ratings. This week’s show featured a confrontation between Darby Allin and Sting against AEW World Champion MJF, as well as the return of Jeff Hardy to AEW after a suspension last summer for DUI charges.

Last night’s AEW Dynamite drew an average of 866,000 viewers, which was slightly lower than the 877,000 viewers who tuned in for last week’s show in Long Island. Ratings in the P18-49 key demo were also down, with the live TBS broadcast averaging a 0.28 rating, compared to the 0.30 rating for last week’s show.

AEW Dynamite maintained its No. 6 spot in the ratings for cable originals on Wednesday, which is in line with its position on last week’s Cable Top 150 rankings. The top-ranked program for the night was the NBA Playoffs game, which scored a 1.13 rating, followed by Bravo’s Vanderpump Rules at No. 4 and Watch What Happens Live at No. 5. The highest-ranked cable original for Wednesday was FNC’s Tucker Carlson Tonight, which drew an impressive 3.606 million viewers. Despite facing stiff competition, AEW Dynamite still managed to hold its own in the ratings and attract a solid audience of wrestling fans.

While AEW Dynamite’s numbers were down this week, it’s important to note that the show still ranked in the top 10 for cable originals on Wednesday night. The return of Jeff Hardy to AEW may have helped to attract some viewers, but the competition from the NBA Playoffs and other cable shows cannot be overlooked.
