It looks like former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Jay White won’t be signing with WWE after all. According to PWInsider, the wrestler who became a free agent in January does not appear to be heading to the company, despite initial speculation.

PWInsider reports that there were no discussions regarding White over WrestleMania 39 weekend and that WWE officials and talents have indicated that White isn’t headed there. After his NJPW contract expired, White reportedly had interest from both AEW and WWE.

As of now, it is unclear where White will end up next, but fans will undoubtedly be eager to see where he lands and what he brings to his new promotion.
