Despite a valiant effort from Balor, who brought his trademark intensity to the match, Edge was ultimately able to overpower his opponent and finish him off with a devastating Con-Chair-To.

The match was set up with a narrated introduction from Russell Crowe as part of a promotional crossover with his new film, The Pope’s Exorcist. Edge, who appeared as “Brood Edge,” then made his entrance, followed by The Demon.
