Liv Morgan is heading to the Queen of the Ring final after a dramatic win over Charlotte Flair on WWE SmackDown.
The June 19 episode featured the final Queen of the Ring semifinal, with Morgan and Flair battling for the right to face IYO SKY at Night of Champions.
IYO SKY had already secured her spot in the final after advancing through the tournament. That left Morgan and Flair to decide who would meet her in Riyadh on June 27.
Before the match could officially begin, Flair was already dealing with trouble. She made her way to the ring clearly limping, and Morgan attacked her before the bell.
Medical staff and Nick Aldis checked on Flair before the match started. Aldis tried to stop the match and told Flair she was hurt, but Flair refused to back down.
“Do you know how much this means to me?”
Once the match started, Morgan went right after Flair around ringside. She targeted the injured leg and kept the pressure on during a brutal stretch of offense.
Morgan wrapped Flair’s leg around the ring post and continued attacking it. Flair eventually fought back and created a few openings, including a near fall that briefly shifted the match.
Flair also hit a Natural Selection from the top rope, but Morgan kicked out and stayed focused on the injured leg.
The damage eventually became too much. WWE officials surrounded the ringside area as Flair struggled to continue, but Morgan pulled her back into the ring.
Morgan hit her finisher and scored the win, sending herself to the Queen of the Ring final. The victory sets up Liv Morgan vs. IYO SKY at Night of Champions, with the crown and a future women’s championship opportunity on the line.
