D-Von Dudley is no longer a part of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE).
On Thursday, 50-year-old D-Von Dudley announced on social media that he and WWE have agreed to end their working relationship. Dudley had been working as a WWE agent since 2016 and transitioned into a coaching role in NXT last June.
D-Von Dudley’s exit from WWE comes after an incident in December 2022 where he was prevented from appearing at a tribute show for Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW). He was set to participate in Battleground Championship Wrestling’s “A Tribute to the Extreme” event held in Philadelphia on December 17, 2022. According to PWInsider, WWE sent a legal letter to BCW, which resulted in Dudley being removed from the event. Dudley is reported to have contacted Triple H to overturn the decision but was unsuccessful.
In addition to being pulled from the ECW tribute event, Dudley was removed from the Icons of Wrestling convention in conjunction with the show.
The company (wwe)and I have decided to parted ways, and feel this is the best Decision for all parties it’s been a pleasure and an honor to work with the young talent when bubba as well as everyone over in NXT. As well as working with some of the best producers in the world.
