Historic bouts and fantasy clashes headline Showcase Mode

CM Punk has been confirmed as the featured superstar in WWE 2K26 Showcase Mode, giving players the chance to relive and reshape some of the most defining moments of his career.
The Showcase Mode will focus on Punk’s journey across multiple eras, allowing fans to replay landmark matches from WWE history while also stepping into fantasy scenarios that never took place inside a WWE ring.
Among the historical matches included are Punk’s encounters with JBL at SummerSlam 2008, Rey Mysterio at Armageddon 2008, and Randy Orton at WrestleMania XXVII. Later chapters of his career are represented by bouts against The Rock at Elimination Chamber 2013, John Cena on Raw in February 2013, and The Undertaker at WrestleMania 29.
The mode also features Punk’s high-profile clashes with Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam 2013, Drew McIntyre at Bad Blood 2024, Seth Rollins on Raw in January 2025, and a triple threat involving Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 41.
In addition to real-world matches, the Showcase introduces fantasy matchups, including Punk facing Steve Austin, Punk battling Eddie Guerrero, and a mixed tag pairing of Punk and AJ Lee against The Miz and Maryse.
According to 2K, the mode is narrated by Punk himself and is designed to explore his rise, rebellion, and return. A new Showcase Gauntlet option will also challenge players with increasingly complex scenarios.
WWE 2K26 is scheduled to launch on March 13 and will feature a broad roster spanning the Monday Night Wars, Attitude Era, and beyond.
